401-405 Main St., Port Washington NY 11050
Pull into the parking lot at Inspiration Wharf at the above address. You are looking for a person (not a store front). That person is the narrator of the tour and she will direct you where to park. If you have mobility issues, you will be directed all the way in to get you closest to the ramp to the boat. You can also park in the Town Dock parking lot and walk over. Inspiration Wharf is the group of storefronts just past Louie's Oyster Bar & Grille on Main St.
From NYC, the LIRR is also an option. The train station in Port Washington is about 3/4 of a mile away from Inspiration Wharf. There are usually taxis at the station or you can stroll along historical Main Street. Did you know Sinclair Lewis lived in Port Washington and it is where he wrote his first novel? Yup. Main Street.
